These come with new and bigger challenges for P&T (Procurement and Transportation & Trade Compliance) as well.
Scale and speed of growth, and the complexity (e.g., set-up with joint ventures) will ask for strong performance with global impact on logistic activities (including required tools) for which design and implementation are considered under responsibility of the Procurement Manager.
Not only the company is changing at a unseen scale and speed, so is the world.
The world is becoming increasingly complex and uncertain.
In the next years the company will achieve a significant growth (especially in the field of battery materials and battery recycling), which results in an increasing complexity of processes and related global logistics between own sites and to and from suppliers/customers.
It is essential for the company that the Project Manager Transportation & Trade Compliance is guaranteeing the set-up of efficient, fast & reliable global logistics processes in an increasingly complex world.
PRIMARY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifying and understanding Business requirements and needs of all stakeholders and translate them in a state-of-the-art digital logistics process.
- Bring deep process knowledge and experience into the project team:
- Transportation process flows and legal requirements (import and export);
- Trade compliance experience (import and export) (Foreign trade process flows);
- Custom experience (import and export).
- Translate the collected information in a business case.
- Identify process and tool selection criteria.
- Bring experience into the project team on how to write a request for information/proposal. Bring tool/vendor selection experience to the table.
GENERAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT TASK & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage time effectively, plan and prioritize in order to achieve the goals.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identify and resolve issues as they arise.
- Identify lead-time constraints and take corrective action to remedy any issues with project delivery.
- Ensure risk mitigation. Participate in project management meetings.
ORGANISATION STRUCTURE:
- This role situates in the Procurement and Transportation Excellence (PTX) team under "Projects".
- Direct report to the PTX Program Manager.
