Your role
As an Architect, you contribute to the success of the company with your creative and spatial thinking, providing station designs that excel in customer experience and that integrate our modular Fastned station in the service areas along the highways. In the coming year, You will be strongly focused on the permitting and contracting of new locations.
You will be mainly responsible for the station design of new sites, from the initial sketch, site investigation, permitting with regional and local authorities. You will also focus on the upgrade of our initial projects, making sure that all our stations fit our most recent design requirements.
Your role as Architect is crucial to our multidisciplinary team. In your day to day job, you will spend most of your time with our local Belgian team, consisting of other architects, network developers and construction managers. Besides that, you will also be connected to our architects in Germany, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, Switzerland and France. Our super nice office is located close to Watersportbaan, in Ghent. Who we are looking for
We are searching for an architect willing to take responsibility from initial designs to the permitting phase of our locations in Belgium, especially in Wallonia and Brussels. You are familiar with the importance of branding and visual identity, and you can apply traffic safety regulations in your design proposals. You are a real team player and you have the ability to think on your own feet - you feel comfortable taking initiative and working independently. You are not afraid to make mistakes and you are always keen to keep on learning. “Think like a founder” is something you identify easily with. Additionally, you tick the following boxes:
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience;
- You are an AutoCAD expert and are competent in Revit;
- You feel comfortable discussing projects with authorities;
- You know your way around Wallonian/Brussels permit procedures
- You are creative, additional value if you can make great visuals;
- You speak French and English on a business level;
- Bonus points for retail experience
- You are highly motivated by accelerating the energy transition.
